Hildebrandt's starling / Hildebrandts glansstare

The Superb starling is common in East Africa, while the Hildebrandt's starling is fairly unusual. The difference between the two is that the latter lacks the white chest band. It took the picture of this specimen in a flowering tree with a variety of species, just before we arrived at "Lark Plains" with the Beesley's lark as the main attraction.

Den brunbukiga glansstaren är vanlig, men Hildebrandts variant är däremot ovanlig. Skillnaden mellan de två är att den senare saknar vitt bröstband. Det här exemplaret fångade jag i ett blommande träd med en mängd olika arter alldeles innan vi kom fram till "Lark Plains" med arushalärkan som huvudattraktion.
