The smallest bird in the world is the Bee Hummingbird, found in Cuba. This species is only 2cms bigger, just 8,5 cms in total. The picture shows a female Wedge-billed hummingbird resting in a thicket, near the Manu road.
Världens minsta fågel är bikolibrin, 5-6 cm lång. Den här arten, kilnäbbskolibri, är bara ett par centimeter större, 8,5 cm. Detta är en hona som tillfälligt vilar sig i ett buskage i molnregnskogen längs Manu-vägen.
