Phalacrocorax brasilianus
Neotropic cormorant / Amazonskarv

11    2016-11-22    Playa Bujama, Peru

This juvenile Neotropic cormorant was probably lost, or had been hunted by something, because as soon as it had landed on Bujama Beach, it left the waterfront and moved towards the bushes way up from the beach, obviously totally exhausted. It did not take any notice of people moving around, I just sat there resting for several hours before it finally disappeared again. (Canon EOS 5D Mark III, Canon EF 70-300/4-5.6L IS USM).
